Dr. Marc Sebrechts is Professor and Department Chair of the Department of Psychology, The Catholic University of America. Having a broad range of interests in the field of Cognitive Science, his research focuses especially on the use of technology in learning, both as a means of understanding how we learn, and as a method for improving on existing approaches.
Dr. Sebrechts is the founding director of the Cognition and Virtual Reality Laboratory, where he investigates how virtual environments can improve our understanding of spatial learning. As a component of the Autism Intervention Project, he is currently helping to design and test an environment to modify eye-gaze patterns in ways that will enhance social interaction for children with autism.
